On Friday I spent most of my time working in Unity on our project. We nearly managed to get the user to pick up an item, use it to launch a projectile, and then be able to drop it. I imagine we will receive a new task on Monday. I hope that, by the end of the summer, we have a solid game with which to mess around in. I personally want to look into generating chunks of terrain so that we could travel endlessly in any direction. Imagine the Cosmos ship, but low tech; that’s what I have in mind.
Over the weekend I was able to call a friend from high school, my mother, and my father. I also, having needed more food, biked to the store. On the way I saw a sign that said bike path and because I am an impulsive explorer, I decided to go on it. I enjoyed many gorgeous views before I realized I had biked 2 miles in the opposite direction. It all worked out in the end though, and I would definitely go exploring again if given the opportunity.
As for the Biosensor project, today we met with our faculty mentors and make a list of tasks for the next week.
- Print and Test Octagon
- Research “Downstairs Printer” (apparently the highest resolution printer is located downstairs)
- Make a new part to test the limits of any printer
- Test using UV lights to cure parts
- Read up on latest research in the subject matter of “Inertial focusing, Particle focusing, and Microfluidics”
I am optimistic of our progress.
We hope you’ll tune in next time,
