Today I will include my notes from this morning&#8217;s lecture about blogging:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Journaling = positive effect on mental health<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>blogging = form of reflecting and documenting day to day experiences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a way to solidify progress<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>practice writing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>avoid talking to friends and family by posting a short brick of text and sharing a URL<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>share experiences relating to research projects, courses etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>blog = your life story<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>make blogging exciting through positive reinforcement training<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>make it fun (add pictures, comedy, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, I will share my notes about plagiarism also from this morning&#8217;s lecture:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>deliberate (evil) or inadvertent use of another&#8217;s work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Common types of plagiarism:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>replication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>duplication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2nd source<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>misleading attribution<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>invalid source<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>paraphrasing w\/o citation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>repetitive research<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>unethical collaboration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>verbatim <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>complete<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Later today we will be traveling to the City of Storm Lake to converse with a teacher and students.
