The four-day weekend was much needed. It felt so good to relax and have a good amount of time off. I felt as if so much happened this past week.

On the 3rd of July, the remaining of the interns (those who did not go home), Natasha, her friends and I all went to the food trucks in Iowa where we saw Eliott and his wife Sue. It was a good time, they recommended for us to go to the waterpark the next day.

Jake, Madeleine, Vanina and I all rode our bikes to the waterpark the next day. From the start, Jake had noticed Alex’s bike, and we made it a game to see who could find Alex first. In a crowded park it sort of seemed like we were playing “Where’s Waldo?” but looking for Alex instead. After about 10 minutes or so, Jake found him (I wanted to find him first) and since then we got to hang around with Alex for the day, it was super fun! We also saw Kimberly and her family.

So basically, we saw a lot of our VRAC staff outside of work which was nice. Overall, it was a good 4th of July weekend.
