The starting of this week is much more intense guys… We are learning C++ programming, and it is a bit scary. We had to install the console at the beginning, and it took so much time! On the other hand, I read some research papers for my team’s research project (EchoXR) and did some annotations. So far, I learned good concepts like how the addition of spatial sounds in 3D environments changes blood pressure and heart rate. Some subjects can even heard sounds in silent VR environments (like waterfalls). Oh, almost forgot! I also read this chapter’s exempt about research ethics and HCI- very interesting!

We also played volleyball a lot this weekend, and I learned how to play the pool thanks to Tommy, Madeleine, and Johann. I have been doing shopping with Jacky this weekend. We rode the bus, walked 20 min from TJ Maxx to Target; it was truly an adventure!
Well, I am excited to learn more with our mentors and instructors about everything and enjoy Iowa with my friends.
