First Taco Tuesday
Since we have blog time every single day of this week, I’m gonna write only about one topic for this post.
Today we had a presentation shown to us about colors and gestures, all involving VR. This topic was interesting as the researcher had went into rural communities, villages to be specific and analyzed how they viewed color and their certain gestures. Something worth noting is that for one of the villages, she noticed how women’s and men’s hand gestures for eating was different, a man used a unique method of using their thumb to point towards them, while a woman used a more conventional and understanding gesture. I also found their preference of color choice and beauty was fascinating, one of the villages had preferred red on women as their beauty standard. This presentation was unique and I found it to be pretty interesting.
I should have asked, but only thought of it after, what inspired the researcher to start this project?
I also enjoyed the talk, Johann. If you are still curious about what inspired Emilie to start the project, don’t be shy to reach out to her through email: emna@create.aau.dk
Most researchers are very eager to share about their research and experiences, so bugging them with emails about their research will not bother them at all!
