Grad School Insight
Last week was a really important step for me in thinking about my future after college. I had meetings with both Professor Stephen G. and Professor Eliot to start figuring out how I want to approach grad school.
First, I met with Stephen, and he gave me a bunch of useful resources to check out. These included programs, professors, and different schools. It really helped me understand how to start narrowing down where I might want to apply.
Right after that, I met with Eliot, and that conversation helped me even more. He didn’t just talk about the technical stuff — he really helped me think about why I want to go to grad school in the first place and what my bigger goals are after I graduate. He also gave me great advice about what to do (and what not to do) when applying. He covered everything from how to reach out to programs to how important it is to stay persistent.
Overall, both meetings were super helpful and made me feel way more prepared and confident about the grad school process. I feel really grateful to have professors like them who are willing to take the time to guide me and support me through something as big as this. It means a lot, and it’s definitely motivating me to keep going.
