Today, a former REU intern from the 2014 SPIRE EIT program here at Iowa State came to give us all a talk! It was so inspiring hearing her describe her undergraduate path and how she got to where she is today, it was also very surreal hearing her talk about her experience in the same program, seeing her do the same things and being in the same places we have. Overall her talk was very inspirational, both in terms of making me feel more comfortable with twists and turns in life, and navigating graduate school and the type of work environment industry can have!
