Last Blog Post
Today is the second to last day, last time I will blog. We’re going to be doing poster presentations to showcase our projects that we have been working on all summer. That seems like an interesting event, I look forward to it.
These past ten weeks have been really interesting and eventful, there’s not a week that went by where something remarkable didn’t happen. I am really happy that I got to be a part of the program and also the project that I’m on. It all started with Stephen Gilbert’s YouTube Short, where he sent us all a welcome video near the first water tower west of the Mississippi, and every single intern loved that video, it’s iconic. Then from trying to figure out what our project should be about to completing pilot testing, and every step in between, it feels that it’s all been a great learning experience. The most tedious part was finding where there are gaps in already completed research, which tedious reading through all of the papers, but then to brainstorm with my group and figure out what we should work on was really cool.
Also, all of the mini courses and luncheon lectures were an experience in itself, meeting a lot of new people and learning about their stories was something that had inspired me a bit. Especially that C++ course had a lot of memories that all of us will remember, I think we’re all glad Adam taught that class.
Then to Eliot’s pasta session where we learned the most important factor about pasta, to add salt to the pasta.

The pasta session
David and Natasha felt like they were a part of our intern group, always hanging out with us was a super cool experience. It was funny whenever we could make jokes with them and saw their non professional side.
I really appreciate how active Tommy and Jundi are as mentors, meeting with us as frequently as we wanted and giving us guidance, they’re still willing and encouraging us to continue to work together as a team on the project to fully complete it, as we only got to the pilot testing phase so far.
Every single event we did together, whether it be volleyball or eating out, it feels like something had always happened during each event to make it memorable. Also, I did make a mistake this summer, I accidentally broke Aidan’s pinky while playing volleyball.
Thank you to everyone, this summer is definitely one to remember.
– Also to my fellow interns, my growth spurt is coming.
Dang, no blog posts tomorrow? It has been a great summer with you all, Kyle will miss you showing him all the bad stuff you are trying to teach him
We’re all still waiting for that growth spurt, buddy
