MCA and Luncheon
To Debra Kumar: Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your journey! I hope you will enjoy your work at Wikimedia.
Yesterday we did Zumba after work. I had never done it before, but it was fun!
Research wise, we have now delegated the tasks. I will be working on the user interface side of things. So, i will be making something similar to the RO interface that companies like Zoox and Waymo use, but as our participants will have limited time to learn the interface, it will have to be as simplistic and clear as possible, without making the right choice too obvious. It seems like a bit of a challenge, but I am excited to tackle it!
In other news, we have our MCA presentations soon. I’m actually so excited to share all of my 3D printed versions of myself! I also think it will be really cool to learn what everyone else has been working on. These mini courses have made me excited for grad school! This REU has really made me feel like I can learn anything if I put my mind to it. I definitely plan on getting a masters degree.
Heres a lineup of the evolution of my 3D prints as they got refined and more detailed over time (MCA Spoilers):

It was great to see your designs! I liked how you connected your project with toys for children. I would love to have a figurine of my son someday, if this is made into reality, where it is easier to make accurate scans.
Thanks David!
